Fahim Yusufzai was born in Kabul, Afghanistan, however he has spent
most of his life in Hamburg, Germany. He has studied Economics and is a

was joined by celebrity-athletes such as the boxing world champion

along with physical strength, the goal of this project is the
containment of violence through sports. For his great achievements
through this project, Mr. Yusufzai was awarded the Citizen Award in
1998 by Germany's former Chancellor Helmut Kohl and the Mayor of

the leadership of President Hamid Karzai. Consequently, in July 2002 he
was appointed as the Olympic Representative of Afghanistan. This title has
enabled him to work with sports both to re-introduce the art to
Afghanistan and to its people and also to help Afghanistan gain
recognition by the international community.
One of the most recent projects of Mr. Yusufzai is the project called
“New Generation of Afghanistan.” This project focuses on the exiled
Afghan people living in Germany who intend to support their country in
both its fresh start and in its attempt to rebuild itself The main
goals of this project are the re-establishment of the education system
and sufficient medical services for the Afghans in Afghanistan.
